The South-Western City School District, located in the southern gateway of Columbus, Ohio, serves the residents of Grove City. The 127-square-mile district encompasses most of the southwestern quadrant of Franklin County, including a substantial portion of the city of Columbus. South-Western City Schools received an “Excellent” rating on their 2011-2012 district report card, meeting 95 out of 120 performance index points.

Grove City and surrounding area parks not only provide the opportunity to get out among beautiful flora and fauna, but also provide a host of activities for the entire family. Grove City Parks & Rec provides sporting events for all ages as well as a family waterpark, the Big Splash, operating from May-September. Parks & Rec also hosts yearly events like the herb plant sale and Blast at Beulah.

The Grove City Kids Association also provides opportunities for recreational sports all year round. Along nearby Darby Creek, Trapper John’s Canoe Livery conducts canoeing trips.

Grove City’s Town Center Inc. does its part to bring the community together. Running from July-October on Saturdays, is the Grove City Farmer’s & Fall Harvest Markets, where dozens of farmers come to Town Center to sell their produce. Grove City also holds other annual festivities including celebrations like Balloons & Tunes, Arts in the Alley, that brings artists and craftsmen from all around the country to Grove City, Old Time Harvest Day, Boo on Broadway, Holiday Craft Bazaar and Winter Lights.

Grove City offers a host of entertainment with its Little Theatre off Broadway and its horseracing track, Beulah Park. Along with horseracing, Scioto Downs is also home to a casino and dining facilities.
