Grandview Heights festivals include the Lazy Daze of Summer music and craft fest, the Memorial Day parade, and a fall Ox Roast featuring food, music, rides and games. In addition, the “Avenue Market,” takes place on Saturdays in October from 10am-1pm. This farm market on Grandview Avenue, between Second and Third avenues, features ohio-grown farm-fresh produce, autumn perennials, specialty baked goods, homemade preserves and crafts and decorative items.


Grandview Heights Business

The Grandview Avenue Bank Block, built in 1927, is one of the country’s first shopping centers and the first strip shopping center in America that integrated parking into its design. Grandview Avenue’s commercial strip features a diverse selection of fine restaurants, coffee houses, a ballroom dancing venue, a variety of eclectic shops and a historic theatre showing independent and art films.


Grandview Heights History

Grandview Heights Ohio, which was originally settled in 1890, became a village in 1906 and a city in 1931. Grandview Heights was initially a part of Marble Cliff, one of the first suburbs of Columbus. After World War II there was a growth spurt that saw many multiple family units built, as well as a rise in industry and shopping centers. Even after Grandview became a city, it retained much of its small town charm.Grandview Ohio’s central location between interstates 670 and 315 allows for quick access to downtown, Port Columbus Airport and all of Greater Columbus.
